The two subjects of Art and DT are being inexorably integrated at Malsis. An emphasis is being placed on accuracy and efficiency, understanding production values. An important sense of environmental issues is being instilled with a growing use of reclaimed materials in upcoming projects. Independent work is largely dependent on community co-operation within the working group.

 

 

A variety of materials are used and techniques learned - ranging from metal mesh designing and jigsaw making, puppet making and set design to the creation of lamps.

 

The children are encouraged to use various ICT programmes in their work, utilising the internet for research and resources.
