Independent co-educational day and boarding - ages 3-13“…… boarders say 'staff are approachable, listen, are helpful and kind'. Good communication within the school, positive reward systems and a strong commitment to the well-being of each child underpins the outstanding levels of pastoral care provided to the boarders.” Ofsted Social Care Report 2009 ‘Home from home’ is over used as a phrase to describe the family atmosphere of some boarding schools, but at Malsis it doesn’t go far enough! There is never a dull moment as a boarder at Malsis and even children living very close to school nag their parents to let them board so they can join their friends in film nights, weekend laser tag, Sunday breakfast in pyjamas and special trips to local fairs and events. New boarders quickly slot in to life in the warm, homely dormitories and help is always on hand to do homework for the next day’s lessons. Living in the heart of the boarding accommodation, Mr and Mrs Peel oversee the boarders, including evening and weekend activities, supported by 'maters' who run the domestic side of boarding life and Sister Walters who takes care of all medical matters.
