Malsis Productions - some audience comments
Genuinely, it was one of the most professional and memorable shows I have seen from pupils of that age, so a huge well done to you all! I will definitely come to another McKenna/Ashworth production! Peter Middleton, Shrewsbury School - Annie, 2011
The whole evening was quite magical. The lovely stage set, the incredible costumes, the technical expertise of the sound and lighting, and the quality of the singing by the huge cast. Once again Glenda and James had worked miracles to produce a really memorable evening. The cast all had fun and the support you all gave them was evident throughout the evening; delicious canapés beforehand and welcome coffee afterwards. Geoffrey Boult, Headmaster, Giggleswick School – Seussical Jr, 2010.
It was, and I mean this in all sincerity, a quite excellent evening and a sparkling show! Andrew Fleck, Headmaster- Sedbergh School – Annie, 2011
We are lucky to have such talented and dedicated staff who are able to get the best out of ALL the children and produce such a high quality play. Tim & Carol Sharp, parents of OM and Giggleswick Drama Scholar Emma – Annie, 2011
What an absolute triumph! It was an absolute delight to see such a range of talented youngsters on stage. Matt Burlington, Head of Drama, Oundle School - Honk!, 2008
I thought the show was stunning – I have long been of the view that the Malsis drama and vocals are the best on the prep school circuit, but to have five voices of such outstanding quality together last night was something very special, and I feel honoured that Sarah, Radha, Sam, Miles, Jeremy and Hannah are Repton bound! Robert Holroyd, Headmaster, Repton School - Seussical Jr, 2010.
The choreography, costumes and scenery all added to the exciting spectacle. You could tell, I’m sure, by the audience that you and the children were enthusiastically appreciated! Roger Beaufoy, former Head of Drama at Malsis and father of Oscar winning Simon Beaufoy, OM.
Honk was a brilliant production. Music – could have listened all evening, 10/10. Cast – really good, 10/10. Costumes – appropriate and lovely, 10/10. White umbrellas – delightful! – 11/10. Mrs K Vaux - Honk!, 2008
A great evening, very entertaining and a pleasure to attend. The boys and girls clearly enjoyed the opportunity to perform and the production was well managed. Dr Paul Silverwood, Headmaster, Queen Margaret’s School. - The Wizard of Oz, 2010
What a fantastic show you have produced! I thoroughly enjoyed Gala night. As ever, Glenda McKenna and James Ashworth seem to get so much out of all the children. Sue Wallace-Woodroffe, Sedbergh School. - Oliver!, 2007
