Boarding Options

Occasional Boarding:  for children whose parents are away on business or on holiday, or who would prefer to do without a journey home after a particular evening club or play rehearsal.  Ideal as an introduction, as long as we have beds available.  Cost: a daily rate.

 

Home and Away Boarding:  a settling in period for younger children (Years 3-6) and possibly new boarders; 4 or 5 nights at school, 2 or 3 nights at home each week, possibly, but not necessarily on every Saturday and Sunday, not least because weekends represent a key element of the Malsis experience.   Planning ahead and notification will be required before the start of each half of term.  Cost: 70% and 85% of the boarding supplement respectively.

 

Virtually Full Boarding:  Two nights or one weekend at home between each Exeat; in all other respects the full boarding experience.  Intended as a settling in period for boarders especially in Years 7 and 8; there is particular merit in spending the first and last weekends of term at school.  Appropriate up to and including the Spring Term in Year 8.  Once again, notification in advance is essential.  Cost: the full boarding fee.

 

Full Boarding:  the full experience.  Available for a boy or girl at any stage who wishes or needs to benefit from the full form of what we do well at Malsis.  If boarding, we believe a child really should embrace this option for at least his or her last term.  Cost: the full boarding fee.
