Pastoral Care

The Headmaster and his wife live in the very heart of the school directly overseeing the children’s pastoral care, leading a fantastic team of experienced and dedicated staff.  Every child has a form tutor and a Head of House to whom they can turn for guidance. Moreover, Marcus Peel, who is Head of Boarding and his wife, Louise, ensure that the boarders regard Malsis as a “home from home”. Wednesday night is “Boarders' Night” with special activities arranged just for Boarders, while at weekends there is a full programme of indoor and outdoor activities Individual pastoral care is paramount.

Boarding at Malsis

At Malsis all children are given the opportunity to board, whether on an occasional or full-time basis. There are exeats for everyone every third week, which offer a chance for the children to catch their breath after enjoying their busy school lives.

House System

Importantly, the house system ensures pupils enjoy the small environment and very high staffing ratios that come with so many staff being resident within the school.  From house athletics to house debating, everybody matters, everybody participates and everyone enjoys the friendly competitive nature of House events.
